Microsoft Acquire Skype for $8.5 Billion in Cash

Tuesday May 10, 2011 (on-Demand press release) – Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Skype CEO Tony Bates announced yesterday that they entered into definitive agreement in which Microsoft corp. will acquire Skype  for $8.5 billion in cash.

It is said that the Two companies combines together with sharing vision of bringing software innovations and products to consumers by increasing the accessibility of real-time communications products and services

Microsoft is a worldwide leader in software, services and solutions that help people and businesses realize their full potential. while Skype are the worlds leading Internet communication with 170 million connected users and over 207 billion minutes of voice and video conversation in 2010.
